Portman If Natalie Portman were in a rock band, she'd have a one-word title just like the other famous rock bands of the 80s: Heart, Queen, Boston, Journey. This photo is that badass. She rocks the crazy hair, the hot, black clothes and the fierce looks that the 80s singers had. And you know she's fierce- have you seen the Natalie Portman rap. I think this photo encompasses the 80s because of it's crazy nature, hot clothes and fierce gaze. |

Oh you know how I like 80s rock... lol
Not totally sold on how the hair fits the decade but everything else seems to be a fusion of 80s and modernity. The outfit totally works for a concert and this is definitely the kind of girl a rock ballad would be about. It's fierce like it needs to be and really my only gripe is that the hair is too beautiful for the Eighties. People really liked ugly hairdos back then for some reason and I do like how this feels modern and retro at the same time. It's a bit of a risk that works - we have ourselves a modern day Eighties rock enthusiast showing off what she wore to the Bon Jovi concert.

Sonam: I think I would be in love with this photo more if you have some background for instance like you were on stage so we can feel the rockstar vibe more. I think it's too safe Nat but you look very beautiful here and the styling was good.

I'm going to have to disagree with Sonam. I think this is horrible. You've been doing so well but I think this week you really failed to deliver. I don't really see 80s when I look at this picture. After I think about it for a while I can kind of figure it out. But I think the fact that you had to go into a big explanation about how the shot is 80s kind of sums it all up. Its not 80s. You forced it. With the decade theme, I want to be able to look at the image and instantly that decade comes to mind. With yours, that just didn't happen. I'm hoping you managed to get by this week since I think you have a lot of potential to win this whole thing, but this week was definitely not a good week for you.

Regarding the tag, I say go ahead and remove it. It's like the tag on a mattress - illegal to remove, but nobody actually cares. And if they do, you'd probably get to meet the real Natalie Portman in court, so either way it's kind of a win-win for you.
I definitely get an 80s vibe in this photo, and the pose is sexy as all hell, but for whatever reason, I'm just not wow-ed by this. I'm also not a fan of the way your arm is in front of your face, since we lose a bit of the hair and makeup, which are even more important to the photo since we don't really have much of a background here. But it's still great, and I think you shouldn't have anything to worry about. <3
