 1940s Fashion Style 1940s is the decade when small hats were really popular. Based on the images i was searching in google about 1940s fashion style, i'm pretty sure they have the similar fashion with the one in mine. It is definitely the classic look. I also believe i look like one of the most high fashion women back in 1940s in my photo lol jk |

I like how you gave us an image to compare to. You definitely look like you belong there and stay true to the trends from the time. The bike also wins points (random note: my phone wanted to say "bikini" and not "bike").
I really like this. Your hair and makeup fits the era and the picture shows the Forties in a lot of ways and although I prefer my own sexy hat to yours, people in the Forties would find me weird. That is another reason for me to be a modernist, I guess. I like what I live in. ;-)

Thanks for the nice comments, Amanda. I wish i have the same hat as yours. I heard they're fab  I was worried about some judges might have doubt on the 1940s style so i posted the picture aswell. |

I think this photo fits the 40s perfectly. Once again, you did great. I think this shot is definitely something different with you on the bike, and I'm glad to see that. A typical 1940s shot for a girl would have been her sitting in a chair being seductive, so I think by doing something a little out of the ordinary, you really nailed this week.

Omg i couldn't agree more. I was gonna keep and do this photo later in the red carpet finale but i couldn't help myself. Amanda's hat = hot. And it fits me really well too <33

So, this one time, I was working at summer camp. And one day, after everybody else was in bed, I was like, "Dang, I'm thirsty." So I went into the lodge kitchen to get some water. And as I open the door, there's two of my coworkers sitting there, in the pitch black, looking hella awkward. I didn't say anything, just grabbed my water and went back to bed.
Anyway, that's the vibe I'm getting from this thread. Just sayin.
Oh, and there's a photo, too. Let's see here. I think the pose is fantastic, and it's especially impressive given that you're riding a bicycle. Those things tend to be incredibly awkward to pose with, but you've pulled it off really well. Your smile is charming and cute, and the hat is simply darling on you. All in all, it's stunning.
Now get a room, you two.
